Dramatic sports styling with lowered sports suspension, sleek 18'' alloy wheels, a snarling
bonnet vent and imposing curves, it really is a sight to behold. Deeply-bolstered sports bucket
seats and a vibrant interior hint at the devilish personality behind this beast of a car.

It’s what’s beneath the bonnet that makes the biggest impression though. Rapid acceleration will propel you from 0-62mph in a blisteringly quick 6.1 seconds. And the engine delivers a massive 380Nm of tummy-twisting torque, offering immense in-range pull. Even with all this raw power, the finely-tuned steering and exceptional chassis rigidity mean you’ll stay firmly planted to the road.
And as a Mazda customer, your invitation to Mazda’s dark side is even more appealing. We’re offering Typical 3.9% APR* over 3 years with a deposit contribution of £1,000, when you order the all-new Mazda3 MPS.

ALL-NEW MAZDA3 ON SALE AT ROMFORD MAZDA

ALL-NEW MAZDA3 ON SALE AT ROMFORD MAZDA

FROM 18 MAY 2009 PRICED FROM £13,500

The all-new Mazda3 range is set to arrive at Romford Mazda offering motorists outstanding value for money thanks to its generous equipment levels and low running costs.

Both retail and fleet customers in Romford will benefit from lower road tax as well as capital allowance savings due to the dramatic CO2 reductions that bring models below the 120g/km and 160g/km tax thresholds.

The new 20-strong model line-up (16 hatchback and four saloon cars), priced from £13,000 on-the-road, also boasts a more striking design, higher levels of interior comfort and a more luxurious cabin.

“With its fresh bodystyle, more powerful and emotional design, the all-new Mazda3 brings the sophistication, style, technology and refinement of the larger Mazda6 to the small family car sector," comments Amarjit Shokar, dealer principal at Romford Mazda.  “The new model is improved visually, technically and in terms of comfort.  It also has an even more generous specification at each equipment level, so Mazda3 continues to deliver great value for money.”

The all-new Mazda3 now has best-in-class aerodynamics, retuned powertrains and reduced weight (down by 15 kilos on some models), resulting in significant reductions in CO2 and fuel consumption.

The CO2 output of the 1.6 petrol model has been cut to just 149g/km, from 162g/km on the current model, the 2.0 petrol is down to 159g/km from 189 g/km due in part to new i-stop technology and the 1.6 diesel is now just 119g/km, down from 128g/km, and benefits from only £35 per year road tax.

Technical innovations include the fuel-stretching ‘i-stop‘ (Smart Idling Stop System) technology on the Mazda3 2.0 Sport – which can deliver fuel consumption savings of up to 14 per cent on the combined cycle – and the new five-speed automatic transmission on the Mazda3 2.0 TS2 model.

Safety is paramount on all-new Mazda3, with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and an Emergency Stop Signaling (ESS) System standard on all models.  This system automatically activates the hazard warning lights at cruising speeds when the ABS sensors detect emergency braking.  The system automatically cancels the emergency signal when either the demand for ABS relaxes or when the brake pedal is released.

Romford Mazda in Collier Row Lane will offer Mazda3 customers a choice of three petrol and three diesel powertrains, all fine-tuned to use less fuel.  Customers who prefer a petrol engine can choose from 1.6-litre (105ps), 2.0-litre (150ps with a new 5-speeed automatic transmission) or 2.0-litre (151ps) powertrains for the 11 regular Mazda3 models.  The choice of diesel engines is expanded to encompass 1.6-litre (109ps), and the new 2.2-litre (150ps) and 2.2-litre (185ps) engines

The Caravan Club Awards Mazda6 Estate Category Win

The Caravan Club Awards Mazda6 Estate Category Win

at Towcar of the Year 2010

The Mazda6 Estate has proved its towing ability, for the fourth time, at The Caravan Club Towcar of the Year 2010.  Awarded for its practicality and excellent towing ability the judges said: “The Mazda6 is a very worthy class winner.”  The results of the Competition were announced at The Caravan Club’s annual awards ceremony held at the Royal Automobile Club in London today (23 September).

The Mazda6 Estate impressed the judges in the £20,000 to £25,000 Class: “With a flexible engine, bags of low-down torque and a six-speed gearbox that is not only good to use but well mated to the engine, it’s no surprise this is a very worthy class winner.

“Towing 1347kg, the good-looking estate car romped up the long 14% hill in third gear and tackled a 17% stop-and-restart quite easily.  A super car at a great price” the judges concluded.

Mark Cameron from Mazda UK added: “Whether you are towing a caravan to a motorsport event, a horse box to the county show, or a jet ski trailer to the beach, the Mazda6 Estate has proved over the years of awards from The Caravan Club Towcar of the Year that it consistently rates highly thanks to its flexibility, dynamic handling and great engine.”

The exact specification that was tested for this highly regarded competition was the Mazda6 Mazda6 2.2litre Diesel Estate TS2 163ps Manual and is priced at £20,170 on-the-road.

Twenty-eight cars were put rigorously through their paces in August at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.  An independent panel of six driving judges carried out track tests assessing each car’s towing ability as well as acceleration, braking and the ability to cope with demanding hill starts.   The vehicles were divided into five price categories and two All-Wheel Drive categories (under 1800kg and over 1800kg).  Vehicles are split into Classes to enable consumers in general, to make an informed choice regarding their car purchase depending upon the theory being that anyone thinking about buying a new car will first consider their budget.  These results are important not only to caravanners but to any car driver who tows; boat and horsebox owners have an equally keen interest in these awards.

Mazda6: The Facts

In the UK, the second generation Mazda6 offers customers a 26-strong model line-up, starting at £15,685 (on-the-road), with a choice of four powertrains and five equipment levels, in a range of eleven colours, plus stylish 16-inch ,17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels which were a ‘first’ for Mazda6.  Each of the equipment levels – S, TS, TS2, Sport and Sports Luxury are highly specified within its price band and among the specification upgrades is a new standard equipment feature on 15 models from the £18,410 TS2 upwards which benefit from enhanced safety with the new lane-change ‘Rear Vehicle Monitoring System’.

From January the Mazda6 went on sale with the arrival of its all-new MZR-CD 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine and some specification upgrades and one additional diesel model – offering both the low power (125ps) and mid power (163ps) diesel engines in the TS hatchback.

LOW-EMISSION MAZDA CARS HELP CUT BUSINESS COSTS

LOW-EMISSION MAZDA CARS HELP CUT BUSINESS COSTS

Mazda’s broad range of low-emission cars available at Romford Mazda can help local businesses in Romford achieve two of their current targets – projecting an environmentally-friendly image and cutting vehicle operating costs.

Recent government changes to business car capital allowances mean that it is cheaper for businesses to run company cars that emit 160g/km of CO2 or less.  As a result, many companies are ‘capping’ fleet choice lists at that level.

However, Mazda’s line-up of low-emission cars is not restricted to its small (Mazda2) and mid-size (Mazda3) models, and with 44 cars in the sub-160g/km category, the company has underlined its ‘green’ credentials while also making fleet vehicle choice easier.

Following the April changes to capital allowance rules, all motoring taxes as well as company car driver benefit-in-kind tax are now based on a car’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.  Choosing sub-160g/km cars not only helps businesses to save cash, it also ensures drivers will pay reduced benefit-in-kind tax bills.  Lower CO2 also goes hand-in-hand with better fuel economy, so both companies and their employees will be further rewarded with petrol or diesel fuel bill savings.

“Corporate social responsibility has established itself as a boardroom catchphrase and is particularly applicable to vehicle carbon footprint reduction, something which all businesses are keen to achieve,” commented Amarjit shokardealer principal at Romford Mazda.

“With more than half its  model derivatives classed as fuel-sipping ‘low-emission’ cars, Mazda is helping businesses and company car drivers to save money in these recession-hit times and businesses to promote an environmentally-friendly image,” adds Mr. Shokar.

Mazda’s range of sub-160g/km cars includes: the entire 10-strong Mazda2 supermini line-up, the all-new Mazda3 family car – the most recent showroom arrival – and the Euro NCAP 5 star-rated Mazda5 with its unique sliding rear doors and seating for up to seven.  Even the hugely popular Mazda6 range of hatchback, saloon and estate cars boasts models under the 160g/km barrier, including high-performance derivatives with the 185ps 2.2-litre diesel engine.

Buyers of the Mazda2 with the 1.4 diesel 68ps and 1.6 diesel 90ps engines – which record 107g/km and 112g/km of CO2 respectively – benefit from being in the lowest 13 per cent company car benefit-in-kind tax band.  In addition, the ultra-clean 1.4 diesel also beats the 110g/km threshold for 100 per cent first year capital allowances which applies to the cleanest cars on sale.

“The Government is encouraging both companies and company car drivers to choose low emission vehicles with a tax system that incentivises the take-up of those models.  With continuing fuel price volatility, businesses and drivers will also be rewarded by the first-class mpg figures achieved by Mazda’s wide-selection of sub-160g/km CO2 models.  This is crucial as fuel costs typically account for almost a third of fleet budgets,” concludes          Mr. Shokar.

CANCER RELIEF AT CHARITY GOLF DAY

ROMFORD MAZDA HELPS RAISE MONEY

FOR CANCER RELIEF AT CHARITY GOLF DAY

Car dealership Romford Mazda helped raise hundreds of pounds for Cancer Relief during a charity golf competition at Woolston Manor Golf Club in Chigwell.  The Collier Row Lane dealership offered a Mazda MX-5 2.0i Sport soft-top, worth £21,195, to anyone scoring a hole-in-one on the second green at the recent charity event.

“This is the sixth year Romford Mazda has been involved with this competition and raised money for Cancer Relief,” commented Amarjit Shokar, dealer principal at Romford Mazda.  “We always enjoy taking part in this event and are  delighted to be able to help a charity as worthwhile as Cancer Relief.  Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts at the challenge, no one achieved the target, but we’ll be giving everyone another chance to win a fantastic Mazda again next year.”

“The day was once again thoroughly enjoyable and we thank everyone who took part and made such generous contributions to this worthy cause,” said event organiser, Jim Orr.  “We managed to raise a significant amount of money which will be given to various cancer charities.  I would personally like to thank Romford Mazda for their contribution to the event and hope that next year we can hand over the keys to a deserving competitor.”

Available from Romford Mazda, the Mazda MX-5 remains unrivalled both as a rewarding driver's car and an open-top roadster that can be used for everyday motoring all year round.

The latest exterior, interior and technical upgrades to the Mazda MX-5 2009 model range ensure that the roadster will continue to offer fun-to-drive thrills.  Both body styles carry-over the key features which have made the Mazda MX-5 the world’s best-selling sportscar.

The Mazda MX-5 2009 soft-top range is available at Romford Mazda from just £16,345 on-the-road.  Every Mazda MX-5 now comes with alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel, gear knob and hand-brake, plus an MP3-compatible audio system with six speakers and steering wheel controls and a new auxiliary (AUX) input jack for MP3-player and iPod connection.

The Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe range is also available with prices starting at £18,345 on-the-road, boasting the world’s fastest powered retractable hard top – up or top-down in just 12 seconds.  The Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2009 model range now has several additional features including a new mesh-type front grille surrounded by a chrome-look edge trim, headlamps with chrome bezels and exterior door handles with a chrome-finish.  The cabin is also better insulated with significant interior noise reductions.
